Dynamics and Transport of the Antarctic Circumpolar Current in Drake Passage
Palmer Mooring Deployment PIES deployment Yellow float recovery

RVIB Nathaniel B. Palmer NBP 08-12
19 November 2008 - 13 December 2008

Overview

The NBP0812 cruise from 19 November to 13 December 2008 marked the second cruise of the cDrake field program. Data from 37 of the 38 deployed CPIES was acoustically telemeterd to the ship. CTD hydrocasts at each CPIES site were conducted and coincident velocity profiles were measured by the LADCP. The three current meter moorings were verified to be in an upright orientation. This cruise contributed additional coverage within the Drake Scotia plate to the multibeam bathymetric data set.
